Provided the juvenile meets certain criteria, their criminal record can be sealed or expunged. Currently, in Florida, only records relating to non-violent offenses can be expunged. Having a juvenile record sealed or expunged does not affect your right to also have an adult conviction treated in this way. However, it is wise to seek the help of an attorney for any type of expungement or record sealing.
